I really like the safety feature on this mandolin. It is easy to use and also easy to clean. I think the only thing that might make this product a little better is to include a non-stick mat to set it on. It didn't slip bad, but did a couple of times while slicing yellow squash.
I used this slicer for chopping up the veggies (outside of the Napa Cabbage and green onions) to make some kimchi. Wow, it is very fast compared to hand chopping the veggies like I've done for years and definitely way safer. Something that would've taken 30-40 minutes done in 10-15. Let's go!
The slicer is quite large and comes with 6 blades: 3 julienne blades and 3 regular slice sizes. The manual say that is can be used for slicing meat thin as well. I have not yet used it for that but I am very excited to try that out. It is very sturdy and doesn't wobble at all when using, plus it has a nice little catch bucket for underneath to get the cut veggies.
There is a latch lever for swapping out the various blades but a point of interest, you can put in the blade not all the way and the chopping lever will not work if it isn't completely seated. So if it doesn't work for any reason definitely check the blade again before starting again.
As for cleaning it does come with a cleaning brush, you will need it. The veggies get stuck in all kinds of places. I also noticed that the blade housings stains a bit with carrots and similar veggies. It doesn't wash out but it is not a deal breaker. The extra 5 minutes of cleaning doesn't hurt the over all speed of the chopping process.

There is nothing this slicer/dicer can’t do! I love not having to get the odor from onions on my fingers, the time this fancy gadget saves me preparing our veggies for dinner, how it safe it’s use is, and how easy it is to clean. This slicer also looks slightly decorative and I actually don’t mind it being stored on the countertop. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I bought this one and returned another one. The other one's blades were not removeable. We were concern about bacteria build up. My friend uses a power chair. She can raise herself us to the counter and stove. Because, she loves cooking, I bought this for her to try.
It is sturdy,it stays in place and is easy to clean. It stays in place so she can use it side ways to steady her position at the counter. She and her assitant, have used it alot since it was delivered. She meal preps for herself and company. This safety tool is a game changer for her.
I have seen them slice up many pounds of onions to carmelize.
It's convenient to use.
